Assignment 15A - Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 2

1.     Begin with alternative evaluation
a.     Regarding price, quality, and style of product. After conducting these interviews
I found that it depends on the person and the institution that I am talking to. Each point carries its own weight in the decision making process. That being said, price was the most important this time around as it would be costly to carry through with my solution.
2.     How/where do they buy?
a.     This purchase could be in store or online. It would be easier to do online as there are many more options to choose from. I am almost certain that this purchase would be financed as it is a rather large project and would cost a substantial amount.
3.     Post-purchase evaluation
a.     When looking back on the purchase the most important thing is how the students and the campus is changed from it. The only thing that would make it seem like a bad purchase is if students didnt come to the library anymore, which is highly unlikely.
4.     Report the findings
a.     I touched on my interviews in each of the questions above. I interviewed three more university officials in order to gain this information. Although not all of them agreed with my solution, they were open with how they would react to each of the points above.
5.     Draw conclusions
I have not come across anyone that has had to deal with this solution yet. This forced me to ask hypothetical questions in order to see how each interviewee would react in each situation. Each interviewee was able to provide me with valuable information regarding each point.

Assignment 14A - Halfway Reflection

1)    One of the biggest behaviors I have used for completing the assignments in this class is time management. It is very easy to fall behind on assignments and rush to complete them at the last minute, however it is much more rewarding and less stressful to complete them ahead of time.
2)    I recently traveled to London for a week and I had a Business Finance exam on that Thursday two days after I got back. It also happens that I was leaving for Tennessee right after my exam to go to a music festival for a week. I was so stressed out and did not know how I was going to allocate time to complete the three assignments due the next day as well as the peer reviews and the quiz while I was at the music festival. What pulled me through this situation is realizing that just because I was doing all of this traveling was not an excuse to not do my work. I just allocated a block of time and knocked out what I had to get done and I ended up taking the quiz and writing my comments inside of my tent on my phone at the festival. I feel like I have developed a tenacious attitude during the past two months and I think the timing of the assignments along with my packed Summer schedule contributed to this.
3)
a.     My first tip would be to plan out when you’re going to get your work done so that you don’t forget about it and have to rush to complete it.
b.     My second tip is to figure out how this class is going to benefit you and when you think of giving up keep that in mind to keep you going.
c.     My third tip is to work hard and don’t stop because sitting back and not doing your work is not going to help you in life and practicing this mindset now is only going to benefit you in the long run.

Assignment 16A - What's Your Secret Sauce?

1.     Describe five ways in which you think you have human capital that is truly unique
a.     One thing that sets me apart from others is my understanding of effective communication and getting my point across.
b.     The second thing that makes me unique would be my social skills.
c.     The third thing that sets me apart is my empathy.
d.     The fourth thing that sets me apart is my drive. I have trouble starting things and not finishing them.
e.     The fifth thing that sets me apart is my willingness to hear other people out. I always try to help people and let them come to me with their problems.
2.     Interview the five people you know the best

a.     Matthew Roof Matt focused on my empathy and how much I care for others. He talked about how I would be able to interact with other people positively because of how much I think about what theyre going through.
b.     Conrad Ager- Conrad talked about my ability to find unique things in different people. He thinks that I can work with almost anyone because of this ability.
c.     Christian Wyatt- Christian talked about how calculated and calm I am. He thinks that I am very level headed and that it sets me apart from most people.
d.     Luke Vescovi Luke focused on my mental strength and ability to work hard. He is my roommate so he talks about how he sees me wake up early for the gym every day and work hard in my classes.
e.     John Gall John touched on my drive. He talks about how when I put my mind to something I see it through no matter what the challenge is.
3.     Reflect
I would say that the way I see myself and the way that my friends see me are very similar. I think there are differences in how I asses myself versus how others do because they arent biased toward me like I am, so it is nice to have a different viewpoint. I think these differences are caused by different perspectives and lack of bias. I think the interviewees are correct about me as we had similar ideas. I wouldnt change my original list.
